Joel 2:28-32
“Then, after doing all those things,
I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your old men will dream dreams,
and your young men will see visions.
In those days I will pour out my Spirit
even on servants—men and women alike.
And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth—
blood and fire and columns of smoke.
The sun will become dark,
and the moon will turn blood red
before that great and terrible day of the LORD arrives.
But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD
will be saved,
for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape,
just as the LORD has said.
These will be among the survivors whom the LORD has called.” (NLT)

Who gets to declare God’s grace, mercy, and salvation? Men and women, young and old alike will share the great good news of God’s kindness.

What will they say? “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”

Many will answer God’s call with open hearts. They will live new lives.

Today is our opportunity to help others see how good God is.

Today is our opportunity to help others receive God’s gift of life that endures forever.

You are God’s messenger. You bear good news. Give it away as freely as you receive it.

I will share what I have received from God’s gracious hand.

Our Father, take what you have placed in my heart and empower me to share it with others. May your grace overflow my life into others that they, too, may know your salvation. Amen.

Daily D – 1 Kings 2:1-4

1 Kings 2:1-4 When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son.
“I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, act like a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: ‘If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’”
