Job 28:28
“And this is what he says to all humanity:
‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom;
to forsake evil is real understanding.’” (NLT)

Reverence and devotion are the twin rails to knowledge and wisdom. They are the pathways of grace and peace.

Reverence sees God for who he is. Devotion trusts God above all.

Living in the light of his self-revelation and according to his clear directions produces good lives, good homes, good communities, good work, and a good world.

This is the good life.

This kind of life can withstand the worst this world shoves toward us like a punch in the face.

This kind of life can endure the poor theology and unkind taunts of those who ought to know better.

This kind of life can triumph over the worst that can happen to us.

I will live a life of reverence and devotion to God.

Our Father, grow me in knowledge and wisdom that I may be an instrument of grace and peace. Empower me to trust you in all things and for all things. I belong to you. Make me all you want me to be. Amen.
