Isaiah 26:3, 4
“You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.” (NIV)

Isaiah 26:12
“LORD, you establish peace for us;
all that we have accomplished you have done for us.” (NIV)

Peace forms when we learn to trust God. When we remember God’s trustworthy nature and his faithfulness through all generations, and learn to depend on his impeccable track record, we begin to experience peace.

Nothing is too big for him. No challenge can measure up to him. Nothing that causes us fear troubles his heart.

God can do anything but fail.

Every good and perfect gift comes from him, including trust and peace.

Resolution rewards us when it is based on God’s character and gifts.

God is our rock, refuge, and hiding place. He’s a strong tower. He is good, and he is great. He is wonderful.

Every good thing we have ever accomplished has been made possible by him and through us.

God is the most joyful and peaceful being in the universe. He invites you to share his joy and peace. He makes it possible. He makes it available. He makes us ever more like him as we steadfastly depend on his nature and character.

I will steadfastly set my mind on God’s goodness and greatness, and I will live in perfect peace.

Our Father, I’m learning to live what Proverbs 3:5, 6 says. I’m learning to trust you from the bottom of my heart. I am about as peaceful as I am trustful. Continue teaching me the lessons of trust that I may be firmly established in your perfect peace. Amen.

Daily D – Isaiah 61:1-3

Isaiah 61:1-3 “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.”

Daily D – Isaiah 60:19-22

Isaiah 60:19-22 The sun will no more be your light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the LORD will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory.
Your sun will never set again,
and your moon will wane no more;
the LORD will be your everlasting light,
and your days of sorrow will end.
Then all your people will be righteous
and they will possess the land forever.
They are the shoot I have planted,
the work of my hands,
for the display of my splendor.
The least of you will become a thousand,
the smallest a mighty nation.
I am the LORD;
in its time I will do this swiftly.”

Daily D – Proverbs 18:22

Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord.

Daily D – Isaiah 55:6-7

Isaiah 55:6, 7 “Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.”

Daily D – Isaiah 49:15-16

Isaiah 49:15, 16 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.”
