Psalm 146:3-6
Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever. (NLT)

Don’t put your life in the hands of experts who know nothing of life, of salvation life. Mere humans don’t have what it takes; when they die, their projects die with them. Instead, get help from the God of Jacob, put your hope in God and know real blessing! God made sky and soil, sea and all the fish in it. He always does what he says—  (MSG)

God-confidence beats people-confidence every time. God never fails. He always keeps his promises. People are only as powerful as their lives are long. Their power lasts about as far as an inch along the timeline of the earth. God rules from eternity past through eternity to come. Learn to lean on him. Trust him forever.

God always does what he says.

God keeps every promise forever.

This is the perspective we need as we ponder the craziness going on around us.

This is the truth that sets us free from the insanity of our age.

This is the truth that endures forever.

I will relax and luxuriate in the reality of God’s goodness and perfect plans.

Our Father, you always do what you say. You keep every promise forever. You created this world. You will renovate it. You are working within time to bring about timeless beauty and wonder. Display your goodness so that all may see your better way and special future. Amen.

Acts 24:16 “Because of this, I always try to maintain a clear conscience before God and all people.”

Daily D – Acts 21:1

Acts 21:1 After saying farewell to the Ephesian elders, we sailed straight to the island of Cos. The next day we reached Rhodes and then went to Patara.

Daily D – Acts 18:26

Acts 18:26 When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately.

Daily D – Acts 17:11-12

Acts 17:11, 12 And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. As a result, many Jews believed, as did many of the prominent Greek women and men.
