Joshua 6:1-5  Now the gates of Jericho were tightly shut because the people were afraid of the Israelites. No one was allowed to go out or in. But the Lord said to Joshua, “I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors. You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days. Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram’s horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns. When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.” (NLT)

God’s will done God’s way in God’s timing produces God’s results.

Sometimes, God’s instructions sound funny to us.

Sometimes, we wonder if God really knows what he is doing. We might even think we know a better way.

“March around the city,” he said.

“March around the city every day,” he said.

“March around the city once every day,” he said.

“March around the city once every day for six days,” he said.

“March around the city once every day for six days with seven priests walking ahead of the Ark, each one carrying a ram’s horn,” he said.

“March around the city seven times on the seventh day with the seven priests walking ahead of the Ark, each one blowing a ram’s horn,” he said.

“Ludicrous,” some thought.

“Asinine,” thought others.

“Crazy,” said the naysayers.

What did God’s will done in God’s way in God’s timing produce?

Sweet victory!

You may have sung a song that says, “All fall down.” Guess where that idea came from?

Ever wondered why football teams have marching bands? They’re trying to replicate the results of Wall Fall.

What is God asking you to do today? Does it sound crazy? Is it so crazy it just might work?

Walt Disney would tell his team his big ideas. He knew they weren’t great ideas unless people told him they were impossible.

God makes walls fall. God makes marching bands as victorious as warriors.

God wins.

Get on the winning team. Do what he says, how he says to do it, and when he says to do it.

I will march to the beat of God’s drum.

Our Father, I want to do your will your way in your timing. I want your results. Empower me for today’s march. Keep me in step with you. Amen.

Daily D – Psalm 106:1-3

Psalm 106:1-3
Praise the LORD!
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
Who can list the glorious miracles of the LORD?
Who can ever praise him enough?
There is joy for those who deal justly with others
and always do what is right.

Daily D – Psalm 103:1-5

Psalm 103:1-5
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

Daily D – Psalm 92:4

Psalm 92:4
“You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me!
I sing for joy because of what you have done.”

Daily D – Psalm 86:5-7

Psalm 86:5-7
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O LORD;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.

Daily D – Psalm 84:5-7

Psalm 84:5-7
And how blessed all those in whom you live,
whose lives become roads you travel;
They wind through lonesome valleys, come upon brooks,
discover cool springs and pools brimming with rain!
God-traveled, these roads curve up the mountain,
and at the last turn—Zion! God in full view!
