Luke 22:35  Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out to preach the Good News and you did not have money, a traveler’s bag, or an extra pair of sandals, did you need anything?” “No,” they replied.” (NLT)

Jesus kindly corrects (Luke 19:11).

Jesus gently reminds (Luke 22:35).

Some days, we don’t need any new truth. We can’t take one more bite of instruction. We need to savor what we know and enjoy what we have received.

Jesus often prepares us for what’s next by reminding us of what we have already experienced.

Where God guides, he provides.

Living sent is living supplied.

What do you need today that you do not have? Maybe you already have it and have forgotten about it. Maybe what you need is where you’re going. Either way, God will make a way when there seems to be no way. Many gods against God? The Red Sea? The Jordan River? A walled city? A land full of giants and warriors?

A cross?

A grave?

Where will you go with Jesus today? The Great Shepherd’s guidance will ensure you have all you need (Psalm 23:1).

This is a good reminder today, tomorrow, and all the days after that.

I will trust Jesus to gently remind me of our ability to obey him immediately and trust him completely.

Our Father, living sent is living supplied. You give where you guide. You will take care of us. We have never lived outside of your presence. Your plans for us are better than any we could have for ourselves. We will live with gratitude and confidence because of these truths. Amen.

Daily D – Isaiah 6:1-7

Isaiah 6:1-7 “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.

And they were calling to one another:

“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”

At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
