Daily D – Luke 3:21-22; 4:1-2, 14; 5:15

Luke 3:21, 22 When all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized. As he was praying, heaven opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in a physical appearance like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well-pleased.”

Luke 4:1, 2 Then Jesus left the Jordan, full of the Holy Spirit, and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days to be tempted by the devil.

Luke 4:14 Then Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread throughout the entire vicinity.

Luke 5:16 Yet he often withdrew to deserted places and prayed. (CSB)

Daily D – Mark 1:35-38

Mark 1:35-38 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he got up, went out, and made his way to a deserted place; and there he was praying. Simon and his companions searched for him, and when they found him they said, “Everyone is looking for you.” And he said to them, “Let’s go to the neighboring villages so that I may preach there too. This is why I have come.” (CSB)

Daily D – John 7:3-5

John 7:3-5 So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea so that your disciples can see your works that you are doing. For no one does anything in secret while he’s seeking public recognition. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.” (For not even his brothers believed in him.) (CSB)

You are my strength, I watch for you;
you, God are my fortress,
my God on whom I can rely.
God will go before me
and will let me gloat over those who slander me.

Daily D – Daniel 4:26-27

Daniel 4:26, 27 “The command to leave the stump of the tree with its roots means that your kingdom will be restored to you when you acknowledge that Heaven rules. Therefore, Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue.”

Daily D – Daniel 2:20-23

Daniel 2:20-23
“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
wisdom and power are his.
He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning.
He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him.
I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king.”

Daily D – Esther 6:6

Esther 6:6 When Haman entered, the king asked him, “What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?” Now Haman thought to himself, “Who is there that the king would rather honor than me?”
