For your faithful love guides me, and I live by your truth.
PSALM 26:3 (CSB)

_____________________________________________________________________________

So I never lose
sight of your love,
but keep in step with you,
never missing a beat.

(The Message)

Psalm 26 echoes with ideas from Psalm 1. David declares that he had done what that psalm said he should do. His bottom line from living in this manner was this:

My foot stands on level ground;
I will bless the LORD in the assemblies.

(Verse 12)

Our Father in heaven desires to guide us with his faithful love. His wants his truth to set us free from the unnecessary complications of sinful choices.

This provides us with excellent prayer guidance. Here is a way to respond in prayer:

Our Father, guide my every step, thought, word, and action that I may experience and express your faithful love in all things at all times. Empower me to know and understand truth and to fully align and attune myself with it.

This kind of prayer day by day and this kind of commitment to living truth-shaped lives leads us to stand on level ground with songs and prayers of praise.

How do you want to finish this day? Allow God to lead you. Know the truth that sets you free. Fill your heart and your mouth with songs of praise.

I will follow God’s guidance and live life shaped by truth and praise.

Our Father, guide me through this day. I want to know and experience you in all things. Set me free through your truth. Receive my prayers and songs of praise in response to all you do. Amen.

Daily D – Psalm 92:12-15

Psalm 92:12-15
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
planted in the house of the LORD,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
proclaiming, “The LORD is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”

Daily D – Matthew 20:29-31

Matthew 20:29-31 As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, son of David, have mercy on us!” The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, “Lord, son of David, have mercy on us!”

Daily D – Matthew 13:1

Matthew 13:1 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake.
