Psalm 119:66
“Teach me knowledge and good judgment,
for I trust your commands.” (NIV)

—

Psalm 23:3 says, “He guides me on the right paths for his name’s sake.”

Our Father in heaven never leads us the wrong way.

Jesus always guides us along the right path.

The Holy Spirit directs us in the way we should go.

You can trust God’s heart even when you can’t trace his hand.

These simple affirmations simplify our lifestyles and our choices. Because we can trust God with every area of our lives, we have nothing to fear by committing ourselves wholeheartedly to him. Our very best outcomes in everything flow from hearing what he says and putting it into practice.

We know we are making progress in spiritual maturity when we can say what David said here in this psalm: “I trust your commands.”

One of the best breath prayers I know says, “I trust you.”

This is a good way to begin our days, to end our days, and to pray throughout our days. Let’s begin developing this habit now.

“Our Father, I trust you.”

—

I will express my trust frequently throughout my days.

—

Our Father, I trust you. I trust your commands. Whatever you ask me to do is best for me and for others. Get me started on the right path today. Direct my steps. Teach me knowledge and good judgment. Again, I trust you. Amen.
