Isaiah 55:6, 7
“Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.” (NIV)

God’s open invitation is for us to seek Him and find Him.

He’s not hiding. He’s not keeping his distance. He’s not playing games.

He’s inviting us into His presence to know Him and experience Him.

Keep reading to the end of this chapter and notice what else God invites us to enjoy.

He invites us to turn to Him.

He invites us to allow his thoughts to shape our thoughts.

He invites us to live in a constant state of joy.

He invites us to immerse ourselves in his peace and to spread it broadly.

He invites us to sing in exaltation.

He invites us to take a look around and see his signs, wonders, and reminders of his grace, mercy, peace, and love.

God invites us to the good life.

I will accept God’s invitation to a life filled with His grace, mercy, peace, and love.

Our Father, thank you for inviting us into all of your goodness. Thank you for not hiding from us. Thank you for your riches that are available to any and all who will receive them. Thank you for your Extravagant Kindness. Amen.

Daily D – Isaiah 61:1-3

Isaiah 61:1-3 “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.”

Daily D – Isaiah 60:19-22

Isaiah 60:19-22 The sun will no more be your light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the LORD will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory.
Your sun will never set again,
and your moon will wane no more;
the LORD will be your everlasting light,
and your days of sorrow will end.
Then all your people will be righteous
and they will possess the land forever.
They are the shoot I have planted,
the work of my hands,
for the display of my splendor.
The least of you will become a thousand,
the smallest a mighty nation.
I am the LORD;
in its time I will do this swiftly.”

Daily D – Proverbs 18:22

Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord.

Daily D – Isaiah 49:15-16

Isaiah 49:15, 16 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.”

Daily D – Isaiah 48:17-18

Isaiah 48:17, 18 This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the LORD your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your well-being like the waves of the sea.”
