Luke 2:20  The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them. (NLT)

God keeps his promises.

God lets us in on them.

God gives us abundant reasons to celebrate him now and forever.

God invites us into his story.

God satisfies our hearts and minds with his grace and truth.

God has some promises that have yet to be fulfilled.

God makes it clear that the best is yet to be.

God initiated his world redemption plan with what we call Christmas.

God wants each of us to receive his gift of full and meaningful life now and life unlimited forever.

God gives the best gifts.

Merry Christmas!

I will celebrate the Giver, the Gift, and the glory of belonging to him.

Our Father, you are the Giver of all good things. Your Gift of Jesus provides the salvation and purpose we need. Eternity will not be long enough to say, “Thank you!” Today, we celebrate your extravagant generosity. Today, we anticipate yet another advent. We pray the way those who longed for you after the prophets fell silent prayed. We say, “Come.” We rejoice in the way those did who welcomed Jesus at his birth. We say, “Come,” the way the last chapter of Revelation does. We anticipate the elimination of shadows and barriers as we live forever in your loving presence. Hallelujah and Amen!

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.
