Luke 12:31, 32  “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.” (NLT)

“For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.”

Our Father in heaven loves giving good gifts to his children. Verses 22-32 in this chapter provide wonderful details of how generous God is with those who live in a deep and abiding relationship with him.

Many people carry around a mental image of God as a harsh judge or a cruel cop. Jesus shows and tells the true heart of God. He wants you to know and experience him in all the joy that overflows from his loving heart.

Day by day, God’s goodness is available to all who will receive it for the gift it is. Seek God’s heart. Seek his will and ways. Seek his highest and best gifts for others. Seek him in all things at all times.

We don’t have to put in long hours of labor to receive God’s gifts. This is no exchange of goods, our service for his blessing. This is about a heart and mind aligned and attuned with the heart and mind of God. There is true wealth to be mined here. This currency is more valuable than silver and gold, diamonds and rubies.

Seek God, knowing he loves being found by you.

Seek God, knowing he loves giving you his best gifts.

Seek God, knowing he is better to you than you would be to yourself.

I will seek God and his Kingdom above all other things.

Our Father, here is my heart. Illuminate the dark corners. Set it on mission to know you and experience you, and to help others do the same. I want what you want for me, for others, and for the whole world. Amen.
