John 7:45, 46  When the Temple guards returned without having arrested Jesus, the leading priests and Pharisees demanded, “Why didn’t you bring him in?” “We have never heard anyone speak like this!” the guards responded. (NLT)

Sometimes truth stops us in our tracks.

Truth sometimes feels like the card in Monopoly that says, “Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200.”

Truth reshapes every other thought and belief. It challenges weakly held positions. It reorients hearts and minds.

Jesus said the Truth sets people free. (See John 3:32.)

True freedom is knowing Jesus for who he is. It is experiencing the life he gives.

Jesus is the Way. Jesus is the Truth. Jesus is the Life. Jesus is the one and only way to heaven. (See John 14:6.)

This truth may seem narrow, but it is as broad as “Let anyone who hears this say, ‘Come,’” (Revelation 22:17).

Truth is focused and changes everything. Lies can be as broad as you want and only lead us farther from where we need to be.

Those who went to arrest Jesus were themselves arrested by Truth. Today is a good day to lock down who Jesus is to you. Today is a good day to be set free by him who is the Truth.

I will embrace the Truth.

Our Father, you are true. Your words are truth and life. Your truth stands the test of time. Your truth unlocks the door to heaven. Give us the wisdom to embrace the truth of who Jesus is and what he accomplished for us. Amen.

trust in him and he will do this:

your vindication like the noonday sun.”

Daily D – Leviticus 18:1-5

Leviticus 18:1-5 The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord.”

Daily D – Psalm 34:3

Psalm 34:3
“Glorify the Lord with me;
let us exalt his name together.”

Daily D – Leviticus 11:44-45

Leviticus 11:44, 45 “I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves along the ground. I am the LORD, who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.”

Daily D – Leviticus 10:1-2

Leviticus 10:1, 2 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.
