2 Chronicles 8:16  So Solomon made sure that all the work related to building the Temple of the Lord was carried out, from the day its foundation was laid to the day of its completion. (NLT)

Solomon started the Temple project well. He also finished well. The verses above this one tell us that it took twenty years to complete the Temple and Solomon’s palace.

That’s a long project.

Twenty years is time enough to lose focus or to change direction. Solomon’s construction company did not lose focus, and they did not change direction.

What are the most important projects in your life right now? How do you set and maintain direction? How do you evaluate changes? How do you keep moving in the right direction at the right speed?

These are important considerations for work, home, and personal development. This is where some people excel. They are wonderfully helpful to have around. If you don’t have someone who can help you at work, at home, or in your personal development, it’s a great idea to seek out those with the wisdom you need so that you arrive where you need to go and want to go.

Coaches, mentors, trainers, and friends help us with focus, technique, insight, and understanding. They are worth their weight in gold.

If you are one of those people who excels in the areas of strategic planning and execution, consider lending your aid to those who could use a boost to get over a barrier. Help those who do not understand the proper order of operations. Guide those who need focus and insight for living.

Talents come into our lives unearned. Skills take time, practice, and guidance. Never settle for talent alone. Sharpen your skills daily so that the end results of decades of focus results in the kind of completion that shapes others for good for generations.

I will seek the wisdom of those I need to turn talents into skills that edify generations.

Our Father, focus my life. Teach me how to live, work, and play. Empower me for what truly matters. Surround me with wise advisors, coaches, trainers, coworkers, and friends. Use the work of our hands to build a better world. Amen.

Daily D – Leviticus 18:1-5

Leviticus 18:1-5 The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord.”

Daily D – Psalm 34:3

Psalm 34:3

let us exalt his name together.”

Daily D – Leviticus 11:44-45

Leviticus 11:44, 45 “I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves along the ground. I am the LORD, who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.”

Daily D – Leviticus 10:1-2

Leviticus 10:1, 2 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.
