Psalm 86:5-7
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O LORD;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me. (NLT)

You’re well known as good and forgiving,
bighearted to all who ask for help.
Pay attention, GOD, to my prayer;
bend down and listen to my cry for help.
Every time I’m in trouble I call on you,
confident that you’ll answer. (MSG)

God steadies unsteady hearts.

God is a known given who is good, kind, and full of compassion.

God always keeps his promises.

God gives hope.

God provides certainty.

God rescues us from those who would walk all over us.

God defends us from those who would bludgeon and belittle us.

God looks at us through the eyes of mercy.

God cares for our every wound with grace.

Sometimes the sky falls.

Sometimes the world seems to be at its end.

Sometimes it feels like we are sick unto death.

Sometimes it feels like hope left and will not return.

Sometimes it feels like everything we do is wrong.

Sometimes it feels like everything we do is wrong.

Sometimes it feels like hope left and will not return.

Sometimes it feels like we are sick unto death.

Sometimes the world seems to be at its end.

Sometimes the sky falls.

God cares for our every wound with grace.

God looks at us through the eyes of mercy.

God defends us from those who would bludgeon and belittle us.

God rescues us from those who would walk all over us.

God provides certainty.

God gives hope.

God always keeps his promises.

God is a known given who is good, kind, and full of compassion.

God steadies unsteady hearts.

I will go to God with all my troubles, confident in his steadying presence and purpose.

Our Father, steady our hearts. Demonstrate your goodness, kindness, and compassion. Fulfill your promises. Give us hope. Give us the firm footing of certainty. Protect us, defend us, heal us, and strengthen us. May we know your mercy and grace in these sky fall days. Amen.

Daily D – 1 Kings 2:1-4

1 Kings 2:1-4 When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son.
“I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, act like a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: ‘If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’”
