Matthew 6:21  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (CSB)

Christmas Eve reminds us where our treasure lies.

It is not in the mall.

It is not in a store.

It is not wrapped with bright paper and topped with a bow

It came one night
In a place
Out of mind
Out of sight

Born
Swaddled
Announced
Celebrated
Presented
Celebrated again and again

Searched for and found
Honored as a king

Searched for as a threat
Chased but not caught

Precocious
Obedient
Exceptional
Perfect lamb of God

Dead

Buried

Resurrected

Ascended

Coming soon

Heaven and earth rejoiced then
And prepare to rejoice again

I will celebrate our treasure with praise, thanksgiving, timeless songs, and endless adoration.

Our Father, only you could love us so much. Only you could provide so perfectly. Only you could make all our dreams come true. You did. You will. Hallelujah! Amen.

Daily D – Psalm 130

Psalm 130
From the depths of despair, O LORD,
I call for your help.
Hear my cry, O Lord.
Pay attention to my prayer.

Daily D – Psalm 125:4-5

Psalm 125:4, 5
O LORD, do good to those who are good,
whose hearts are in tune with you.
But banish those who turn to crooked ways, O LORD.
Take them away with those who do evil.
May Israel have peace!

Daily D – Psalm 116:15

Psalm 116:15
The LORD cares deeply
when his loved ones die.

Daily D – Psalm 106:1-3

Psalm 106:1-3
Praise the LORD!
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
Who can list the glorious miracles of the LORD?
Who can ever praise him enough?
There is joy for those who deal justly with others
and always do what is right.

Daily D – Psalm 103:1-5

Psalm 103:1-5
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
