Ephesians 4:31, 32
Let all bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander be removed from you, along with all malice. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ. (CSB)

Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you. (MSG)

Simple ideas are often the most profound.

* Be kind.
* Be compassionate.
* Forgive one another.

This is a pretty good list to work on today. Being kind is more thorough and meaningful than being nice.

Being compassionate is much more thorough and meaningful than being helpful.

Forgiving one another as God has forgiven us is more meaningful than saying, “I’m sorry.”

Nice is not enough. Helpful is not enough. Saying “I’m sorry” is not enough to demonstrate the amazing grace and immeasurable love of Jesus.

Kindness is not always nice, but it always works toward edification and renewal.

Compassion is not always easy, but it always works toward restoration and healing.

Forgiveness is not always pleasant, but it always unties knots and double-knots relationships.

Simple stuff, really. Simply challenging to implement. Simply powerful for personal and interpersonal transformation.

I will lead with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness.

Our Father, empower me to move from niceness to kindness, helpful acts to compassionate care, and from regret to restoration. Amen.
