Psalm 143:8
Let me experience
your faithful love in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Reveal to me the way I should go
because I appeal to you. (CSB)

If you wake me each morning with the sound of your loving voice,
I’ll go to sleep each night trusting in you.
Point out the road I must travel;
I’m all ears, all eyes before you. (The Message)

Morning and evening,
and all along the way
Our Father in heaven
Shows us the way.

This is the kind of prayer God loves to answer. It appeals to God’s defining characteristic: his faithful love, his love that endures forever.

This prayer begins with trust, rests in trust, travels in trust, and trustingly depends on God for clear direction and certain provision.

This prayer clearly guides us in knowing and doing God’s will. It’s as simple as asking him for direction and walking the path he places us on. Every step is directed by his grace, empowered by his presence, and leads us farther into his purpose for our day’s work and our life’s meaning.

It sounds all too simple. It sounds too good to be true. Yet it’s the kind of life Jesus lived as he walked from one village to another addressing the needs along the way and providing words of truth and life in real-time conversations.

My calendar and To-Do List provide me with responsibilities aplenty. God’s steps lead me into meaning, purpose, and mission. He is shaping me day by day with his amazing grace. He is working through me to share his kindness and compassion.

Rich and rewarding change happens when God’s faithful love meets our focused trust.

Our Father in Heaven has awakened us in his faithful love. He has laid out a path before us. He provides all we need to bless others as he has blessed us. Let us walk with him in faith and trust. Keep your eyes and ears open expectantly. God is about to answer our prayers.

I will appeal to God’s faithful love and trust him to lead me in the way.

Our Father, your faithful love endures forever (Psalm 136). Lead us into the adventures of this day. We are keeping our eyes and ears open and responsive to wherever you lead and whatever you say. This is going to be a great day! Amen.

Daily D – Isaiah 6:1-7

Isaiah 6:1-7 “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.

And they were calling to one another:

“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”

At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
