Psalm 30:4, 5
“Sing to the Lord, you his faithful ones,
and praise his holy name.
For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor, a lifetime.
Weeping may stay overnight,
but there is joy in the morning.” (CSB)

Sometimes a good and timely reminder is in order. If you are a follower of Jesus, your story ends in glory.

Why can a canary sing songs in the night? He knows he is loved.

Why can you and I persevere through seemingly endless pain and adversity? We know the end of the story.

Once upon a time, someone attempted to write a better ending than the one Christ-followers share. It was a failure. A Christian’s death, like our savior’s, ends with resurrection, ascension, and the immediate presence of God forever.

Heat getting hotter?

Work getting harder?

Relationships getting more complicated?

You are permitted a knowing smile. You are bound for the tearless land of peace and joy, and love that endures forever.

Consider yourself reminded.

I will remind myself and others of what lies beyond all of our discomfort.

Our Father, a preacher once said that, for the Christian, this world is the only hell we will ever know. For those who do not know Jesus, this world is the only heaven they will ever know. My desire is for everyone everywhere to leave this world bound only for your presence. May hell’s habitations remain as empty as possible. Give us the perspective we need for the problems of this and all of our days. Amen.

Psalm 125:4, 5
O LORD, do good to those who are good,
whose hearts are in tune with you.
But banish those who turn to crooked ways, O LORD.
Take them away with those who do evil.
May Israel have peace!

Daily D – Psalm 116:15

when his loved ones die.

Daily D – Psalm 106:1-3

Psalm 106:1-3
Praise the LORD!
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
Who can list the glorious miracles of the LORD?
Who can ever praise him enough?
There is joy for those who deal justly with others
and always do what is right.

Daily D – Psalm 103:1-5

Psalm 103:1-5
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
