Psalm 16:8
“I always let the LORD guide me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.” (CSB)

We always end up in the right place at the right time when we let God lead the way. He knows the way. He shows the way. He prepares the way before us. He is with us every step of the way. Jesus put it this way: “I AM the Way.” (See John 14:1-6.)

The Message paraphrases Psalm 16:8 with these words:

Day and Night I’ll stick with GOD;
I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.

Sometimes I get lost in my thoughts wondering what’s next. It’s verses like this one that remind me I don’t have to worry about what’s next. It’s verses like this one that turn my thoughts back to God’s purpose for my life. I belong to him. He’s in charge here.

Ask God to guide you.

Let God guide you.

Thank God for guiding you.

Trust God to guide you all the days of your life, and for all eternity to come.

Our Father, you are in charge of this journey, and I am not. Lead me day by day and step by step. Amen.

Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Ezekiel 11:19, 20 “And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, so they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.”

Daily D – Ezekiel 3:10-11

Ezekiel 3:10, 11 `Then he added, “Son of man, let all my words sink deep into your own heart first. Listen to them carefully for yourself. Then go to your people in exile and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says!’ Do this whether they listen to you or not.”
