2 Samuel 21:22  These four were descended from the giant in Gath and were killed by David and his soldiers. (CSB)

Nobody can kill a giant until someone does, and then others gain the courage to also take on and take out other giants. When leaders go first and succeed, it empowers others.

It’s interesting, isn’t it, that four giants are mentioned here? Could it be that this is why David chose five stones in 1 Samuel 17:40?

What are the giants in the land today? What will it require to take them on and take them out?

The giantest giant of all is death. Jesus took it on and took it out. We can live courageously and confidently because of the resurrection.

I will live courageously and confidently.

Our Father, nothing you ask me to do will lack your presence, power, or provision. Empower me to live courageously and confidently as I follow your plan for my life. Amen.

Ezekiel 18:30-32 “Therefore, I will judge each of you, O people of Israel, according to your actions, says the Sovereign Lord. Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live!”

Daily D – Ezekiel 11:19-20

Ezekiel 11:19, 20 “And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, so they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.”
