Psalm 73:21-26
When I became embittered
and my innermost being was wounded,
I was stupid and didn’t understand;
I was an unthinking animal toward you.

Yet I am always with you;
you hold my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me up in glory.
Who do I have in heaven but you?

And I desire nothing on earth but you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart,
my portion forever. (CSB)

———————————–

You’re all I want in heaven!
You’re all I want on earth!
When my skin sags and my bones get brittle,
GOD is rock-firm and faithful.
(The Message)

The older and weaker I become, the more I lean into God who is rock-solid and eternally faithful.

That’s it. That’s the message.

There’s nothing like a few days in the mountains to remind a person of the aging process. There’s nothing like a few days in the mountains to remind a person of how mighty is our God.

This is what I will ponder and celebrate today.

I will sing God’s praises for his majestic beauty in all the earth.

Our Father, how good you are! You have created a beautiful world. Thank you for mountains and snow. Thank you for sunshine and blue skies. Thank you for being the strength of my heart now and always. All I want is you. Amen.

Daily D – 2 Peter 1:5-8

2 Peter 1:5-8 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Daily D – Romans 12:18

Romans 12:18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Daily D – Isaiah 26:3-4

You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace,
for it is trusting in you.
Trust in the LORD forever,
because in the LORD, the LORD himself,
is an everlasting rock!

Daily D – James 4:6

James 4:6 But he gives greater grace. Therefore he says: God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
