Joshua 21:45
None of the good promises the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed. Everything was fulfilled. (CSB)

Not one word failed from all the good words God spoke to the house of Israel. Everything came out right. (MSG)

God’s ways work out right. Why settle for money or might?

Each of these exact a price. They take a toll. They leave us longing for more when we discover that no matter how much we gain, they are never enough for peace, love, and joy.

Where God guides, he provides, and the destinations of our journeys now, and the destination where those who love him are bound is one where his every promise is kept, his every good and perfect gift is ultimately bestowed and received.

Everything that has not been fulfilled will be fulfilled.

Every promise God has made will come out right, just, fair, and compassionate.

God can do anything but fail.

God’s ways work out right. Settle only for him by day and by night.

I will trust God’s will and ways.

Our Father, what you offer is the good life. Give us the good sense today to choose it, and to choose it every day. Amen.

Daily D – Micah 6:8

Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

Daily D – Psalm 9:10

Psalm 9:10 “Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.”

Daily D – Jonah 1:13-16

Jonah 1:13-16 Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea grew even wilder than before. Then they cried out to the Lord, “Please, Lord, do not let us die for taking this man’s life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man, for you, Lord, have done as you pleased.” Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm. At this the men greatly feared the Lord, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows to him.

Daily D – Amos 7:12-15

Amos 7:12-15
Then Amaziah said to Amos, “Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there. Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom.”

Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. But the LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ Now then, hear the word of the LORD.

Daily D – Amos 4:12-13

Amos 4:12, 13
“Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel,
and because I will do this to you, Israel,
prepare to meet your God.”

He who forms the mountains,
who creates the wind,
and who reveals his thoughts to mankind,
who turns dawn to darkness,
and treads on the heights of the earth—
the Lord God Almighty is his name.
