Deuteronomy 1:2, 3  It is an eleven-day journey from Horeb to Kadesh-barnea by way of Mount Seir. In the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first of the month, Moses told the Israelites everything the Lord had commanded him to say to them. (CSB)

Some things are as easy as 1:2, 3: Disobedience makes everything harder than it has to be.

God’s commands make life easier, better, and more fulfilling.

God’s commands make life more thrilling.

God’s commands are the Easy Way.

God’s commands enrich the day.

God’s commands are Yes and Amen. They turn prayers into open ends.

God’s commands empower from on high.

God’s commands are the Sweet By and By.

God’s commands are smarter than I.

God’s commands wave most problems “Goodbye!”

God’s commands tell us what is safe to try.

God’s commands remind us he is nearby.

God’s commands open the sky.

Just a dozen better thoughts about God’s commands than the negative stuff we normally hear or think. True liberation is saying Yes to God whatever he asks, whatever he directs, whenever he speaks.

I will live in the blessings of obedience.

Our Father, here and now, I give you my Yes and Amen. Whatever you want, that’s what I want, too. Amen.

Daily D – Ezekiel 18:30-32

Ezekiel 18:30-32 “Therefore, I will judge each of you, O people of Israel, according to your actions, says the Sovereign Lord. Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live!”

Daily D – Ezekiel 11:19-20

Ezekiel 11:19, 20 “And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, so they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.”
