Numbers 18:20  The Lord told Aaron, “You will not have an inheritance in their land; there will be no portion among them for you. I am your portion and your inheritance among the Israelites.“ (CSB)

You’ve heard of the Gift That Keeps On Giving. Our Father in Heaven gives himself to all who hunger and thirst for him.

As a deer longs for flowing streams, so I long for you, God.
I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I come and appear before God?

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭42‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭CSB‬‬

God is the Giver of All Good Things (James 1:17).

God is the initiator of giving. He gives his highest and best.

For God loved the world in this way:
He gave his one and only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Eleven Hebrew tribes received allotments of land in the Promised Land. Aaron’s tribe, Levi, did not. They received so much more.

The Lord told Aaron,
“You will not have an inheritance in their land;
there will be no portion among them for you.
I am your portion and your inheritance among the Israelites.“

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭18‬:‭20‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Everything Aaron, his family, and his descendants needed was provided by God’s generous hand. God was more than enough in every circumstance.

Is God in all his goodness, greatness, kindness, and compassion enough for you? Is his perfect love perfecting you? Is his amazing grace reshaping your bent and broken life?

Nothing in this world will ever be enough, nothing but God and God alone.

Hunger less for dainty morsels and tasty meats. Thirst less for fiery beverages and sweet drinks. Choose more of God from the menu of this world’s delights. Only in him is there perfect provision and ultimate satisfaction.

I will hunger and thirst for more of God who is more than enough.

Our Father, I want to know you as more than a name. I want more than a system of belief and behavior. I want to know your heart and mind. I want to experience your grace and mercy and help others do the same. You are more than enough in all circumstances and at all times. Amen.

Daily D – 1 Timothy 2:1-4

1 Timothy 2:1-4 “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”

Daily D – 2 Thessalonians 1:3

2 Thessalonians 1:3 “Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.”

Daily D – 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

1 Thessalonians 1:2, 3 “We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Daily D – Colossians 2:8-10

Colossians 2:8-10 “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”

Daily D – Philippians 2:2-5

Philippians 2:2-5 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
