Psalm 40:8
”I delight to do your will, my God, and your instruction is deep within me.” (CSB)

”I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.” (NLT)

So I answered, “I’m coming.
I read in your letter what you wrote about me,
And I’m coming to the party you’re throwing for me.”
That’s when God’s Word entered my life, became part of my very being.“ (MSG)

Reading the Bible is a good place to start. It is not a good place to stop. Reading helps us think God’s thoughts. Turning his thoughts into actions leads us into unexpected delight.

The good life begins when God’s Word enters the depths of our lives leading us onward into previously unknown heights.

Know and experience God. Help others know and experience God.

King David says it this way:

I did not hide your righteousness in my heart;
I spoke about your faithfulness and salvation;
I did not conceal your constant love and truth
from the great assembly.“

(‭‭verse 10)

I will hear and obey God’s Word so that I may know and experience him and help others do the same.

Our Father, give me ears to hear what you are saying to me through your words of truth and life. Empower me to live what I learn. Empower me to help others do the same. Amen.
