Esther 6:6  So Haman came in, and the king said, “What should I do to honor a man who truly pleases me?” Haman thought to himself, “Whom would the king wish to honor more than me?” (NLT)

If you and I cannot think of anyone who deserves more honor than us, we might be the problem. When justifiable pride crosses the line into arrogance, we are definitely the problem. It is wise to remember that kind of pride kills.

Reading from this chapter in Esther through the end of the story, Haman the Ultimate of Arrogance, dies. His ten sons die. Tense of thousands of others die. He who planned to extinguish an entire people group and those allied with him died.

A little humility goes a long way. It may even save your life.

This is a point worth pondering.

This is a truth worth implementing.

This is a lifestyle worth emulating.

I will take myself down a notch before anyone else has to.

Our Father, you are Great and i am small. It’s all about you, not about me. John the Baptist got it right. More of you; less of me. Amen.

Daily D – Habakkuk 3:17-19

Habakkuk 3:17-19 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.
