People in true relationship with one another can say things to one another no one else can. What truth can God speak to your heart without you getting your feelings hurt? Is there something he could say that you would not receive well?

Notice verse 7. These are King David’s words to God. Verses 8 and 9 are God’s words to King David. 

David says: 

* You are my hiding place.
* You protect me from trouble.
* You surround me with songs of victory.

God says: 

* I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
* I will advise you and watch over you.
* Don’t be a senseless horse or mule.
* Don’t make me use a bit and bridle to control you.

David says: “You’re my hiding place.”
God says: “Stop hiding and start walking.”

God is with us when we need a hiding place. 

God is with us when it’s time to get up and get going. 

God is with us when we are either ignorant or afraid. 

Sometimes God nudges us forward. Sometimes he drags or pushes us forward. 

What do you need from God today? 
* A hiding place?
* A guide?
* A push?

Whatever it is, if you know him and belong to him, he has just what you need for this very moment and for whatever comes next.

Our Father, thank you for providing a hiding place. Thank you for providing wise guidance. Thank you for gentle nudges and full-force shoves as often as necessary. Thank you for keeping us moving in the right direction. Amen.
