Matthew 10:29  “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.” (NIV)

The Message paraphrases this verse this way:

“What’s the price of a pet canary?
Some loose change, right?
And God cares what happens to it even more than you do.”

God knows you by name. He cares about the details of your life. Let this truth drive away the fear and anxiety stalking you day by day.

On this rainy Sunday morning, a double blessing in this part of Texas, let’s ponder these truths and respond with gratitude and praise.

I will worship God with praise and thanksgiving because he knows me, loves me, and provides for me.

Our Father, you are the Giver of All Good Things. You know me. You love me. You seek my highest and best good in all things at all times. You strengthen me and prune me. You are better to me than I would be to myself. How could I not sing your praise? How could I not gather with those who also understand your grace, mercy, kindness, and compassion? I will sing and celebrate you today and every day. Amen.
