Isaiah 56:7, 8  “I will bring them to my holy mountain and let them rejoice in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” This is the declaration of the LORD GOD, who gathers the dispersed of Israel: “I will gather to them still others besides those already gathered.”

Matthew 21:12, 13  Jesus went into the temple and threw out all those buying and selling. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. He said to them, “It is written, my house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of thieves!” (CSB)

Question: Who does God love?
Answer: Everybody everywhere.

Question: What does God hate?
Answer: Anything we permit to stand between him and any person who needs to know and experience him.

Question: What needs to be thrown out of your life that prevents others from seeing God for who he is and relating to him in saving grace and everlasting love?
Answer: (Psalm 139:23, 24 is helpful to us at this point: “Search, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way.”)

A clean sweep on Monday morning opens a heart to all of God’s possibilities.

I will remove everything in my life that creates unnecessary barriers for others to know and experience Jesus.

Our Father, search me. Test me. Show me every offensive way in my life. Cleanse me. Empower me to throw away everything that hinders the free flow of your grace and mercy through my life to those who need to receive it. Amen.

Daily D – 2 Peter 1:5-8

2 Peter 1:5-8 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Daily D – Romans 12:18

Romans 12:18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace,
for it is trusting in you.
Trust in the LORD forever,
because in the LORD, the LORD himself,
is an everlasting rock!
